Do I need a contract for every freelance project?

What should a freelance contract include?

At minimum: scope of work, payment terms (amount, schedule, late fees), revision policy, intellectual property assignment, confidentiality obligations, termination clause, and governing law. Our templates include all of these by default.

Can I customize the contract after it's generated?

Is a freelance contract legally binding without a lawyer?
